The WebQuest is designed for an 11th Grade US History and Government course, but it can be used for 7th Grade US History and 12th Grade Government and Politics courses as well. The lesson involves some English/Communication as students will develop persuasion and public speaking skills.
Before completing the WebQuest, students will need to understand the Articles of Confederation and its weaknesses. In addition, students will need to understand why the delegates called for a Constitutional Convention. This will provide students with a framework for the WebQuest. The WebQuest does not require any background knowledge on the debates.
