Conclusion
This lesson aims to accomplish two goals:
- First: students will learn the importance of compromise in politics
- Second: students will examine the Constitutional Convention through a hands-on approach, covering the New Jersey, Virginia, and Hamilton Plans, the Great Compromise, the 3/5ths Compromise, the Anti-Federalist arguments against the Constitution, and the Federalist Papers.
Through the process of learning history and politics, students will develop addition skills, such as critical thinking, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and compromise; all of which are essential in the adult world and found in all content areas.
